Mary Lou’s Smoked Pheasant “pate”

Prep Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Lb Cooked pheasant breast (or substitute 1lb smoked ham or smoked turkey)
  • 1 Can Smoked almonds (small can)
  • 1 Tbsp Liquid smoke
  • 4 Green onions Chopped
  • Dashes Hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise (more/less for desired consistency)
  • Crackers (RItz or similar)

Instructions

  • Grind almonds in food processor until pulverized and transfer to large mixing bowl.
  • Grind meat and scallions in food processor.
  • Mix meat, almonds, liquid smoke and hot sauce.
  • Stir in mayo to desired consistency. Chill for at least an hour or overnight.
    Serve with Ritz or similar crackers.
